Agama Advertising Joins Victoria County to Support Town Hall Meetings
MISSION VALLEY, Texas (1/31/08) – The Agama Production Department teamed up with Kevin Janak, Victoria County Precinct 2 Commissioner and Tim Andruss, General Manager of the Victoria County Groundwater Conservation District, to conduct Town Hall meetings in the Mission Valley and Nursery communities. Two five-foot video screens and one twelve-foot video screen, along with a multi-speaker sound system, were installed and operated for both evening events.

The meetings informed the public about the Texas Department of Transportation’s plans for building the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC-69) through Victoria County, as well as about recent water well testing in northwest Victoria County. Approximately 450 citizens from the Victoria, Mission Valley and Nursery areas attended the meetings.

Using advanced features in satellite mapping technology, attendees were shown the proposed TTC-69 route featured in the highway department’s environmental impact study superimposed over interactive satellite images of the area. Poster-sized 11” x 17” maps showing the TTC-69 path through Victoria County were also designed and distributed to the attendees. Roads and private property that could possibly be affected by the new Corridor were reviewed in detail.

Following the conclusion of the event, citizens were allowed to review their specific properties or areas of interest on the map.
