ACC Closes Successful Business Growth Summer Series

The Asian Chamber of Commerce closed out its successful Business Growth Summer Series on Sept. 8 with a panel discussion on minority business certification and how it can help small businesses to prosper. Panelists included Richard Huebner, president of the Houston Minority Supplier Development Council; Roger Harris,  a representative from the Office of Business Opportunity of the Mayor’s Office with the City of Houston; and Deidra Sutton, a consultant for the University of Houston Small Business Development Center. All three shared valuable tips on how businesses can acquire such certifications and use them to gain valuable government contracts. The discussion was facilitated by Bryant Price, president and CEO of Agama Advertising. Over the course of the summer, the chamber brought in numerous expert panelists to share their wisdom with luncheon guests on a variety of topics valuable to small businesses, including networking, hiring the right employees, and marketing.

The event was underwritten by Shell Petroleum and ExxonMobil, in partnership with Wells Fargo and Dr. Peter Chang, Cardiologist.
