Victoria, Texas (11-12-08) - Agama Production provided crew and equipment for the African-American Chamber of Commerce's 2008 Awards Gala. The event, which honored community and business persons that have provided a significant positive impact to the area, was held Thursday night November 6, 2008 at the Victoria Community Center Dome.

Successful production of the event required just over 200 man hours using a crew of eight. The presentation required the use of a 57,600 watt dimmable lighting system, approximately 80 lighting fixtures including four DMX controlled moving lights, and a 5,000 watt sound system capable of supporting the evening's award presentations as well as live band performances and music tracks for on-stage hip-hop dancers.

The audience of over 450 people were able to follow the action by watching the two, 12 foot screens on either side of the stage. In addition to the live action shown on the big screens, event graphics and a short video highlighting one of the evening's award recipients was shown.

“I'm very pleased to have been able to support the show again this year. Last year, Mayor Will Armstrong said we 'set a new standard' for events in Victoria and I wanted to make sure that audience members were treated to something even better this year,” said Ben Price, Production Department Manager for Agama Production.
